This ignition switch fits all Honda CRV from 2007 to 2011. The part was removed from a 2004 Honda CRV. All the keys are aftermarket but have the same quality chip.
The keys have a chip inside of themthat works with the anti theft immobilizer system. The chip in the key must be programmed to the engine computer in order to start the car. To use these chip keys you can have a locksmith or mechanicadd these keys to your car using a OBD2 scan tool that supports key programming OR you can insert chips from the old keys into these new ones. The chip reader that is mounted to his ignition switch must also be programmed to the car OR you can reuse your car's previous chip reader to avoid the need for programming.
